Itinerary
Day 1 of Watercolour Weekends
9.30 – 10.00 – Welcome and Refreshments
10.00 – 11.15 – Workshop 1
There will be a ten minute introduction to the two day course and your tutor. During the next two days please feel free to take rests whenever you want to and walk around in between workshops. This is your experience with watercolours and will be relaxing and fun.
You will meet the other members of the group and get to know your equipment. Each artist will have their own space with an easel, table and materials.
11.15 – 11.30 – Coffee/tea/refreshments
11.30 – 1.00 – Workshop 2
Preparing your canvas for painting, gain confidence in using colour using different brushes and brush strokes. Learn about light and shade.
1.00 – 2.00 – Buffet Lunch
2.00 – 3.15 – Workshop 3: On Location
In the surroundings of the chosen picturesque location, you will create a sketch/drawing on paper using watercolours or pastels. (During inclement weather, the session will be held indoors).
3.15 – 3.30 – Coffee/tea/refreshments
3.30 – 5.00 – Workshop 4: On Location (continued)
Continuation of this afternoon's session with end of day summary by tutor.
7.00 – 9.00 – Evening Meal in the Restaurant
Day 2 of Watercolour Weekends
9.15 – 9.30 – Coffee, tea, refreshments
9.30 – 11.00 – Workshop 5: Review and Focus
An informal review of yesterday's progress and a general chat about areas to focus on today.
11.00 – 11.15 – Coffee, tea, refreshments
11.15 – 1.00 – Workshop 6: Completion of Work
End of programme and completion of work. Questions and answers for tutor. Discussion on progress made over the two days.
1.00 – 2.00 – Buffet Lunch
2.00 0nwards – Collect your paintings and drawings: Goodbyes.
Your well experienced tutor will cater for your level of skill and support you at your pace of learning, ensuring that you will produce something to take home with you that you will be proud of.
